Uruguayan-type yerba mate made in Brazil. As is typical for yerba of this type, it is very finely cut with minimal stems and a moderate amount of powder. The cut is Uruguayan, type PU1, which means it contains a maximum of 10% stems, with the rest being finely crushed leaves. PU1 is the finest cut type among the three common yerba mate standards and the most popular in Uruguay. The aroma of Paisana is very inviting, slightly nutty and grassy. The infusion itself is slightly creamy, gently grassy, and the bitterness is not very noticeable. The effectiveness, as is typical for Uruguayan yerba, is above average and will definitely provide quite a large dose of energy. We recommend using a Chimarrao-type bombilla with a wide round filter.
